Chimaltenango, Guatemala
Out of stock
This emerging coffee region is nestled among well-known coffee-producing areas such as Acatenango, Atitlan, and Antigua. Due to its remote location, major coffee buyers have often overlooked Chimaltenango. However, access to this region is beginning to open up.
Most farmers typically sell their cherries to nearby regions like Antigua or Atitlan. Recently, however, a small mill was established in Chimaltenango, and coffee from this region won at the cupping table. This year’s stock levels are limited. The 1-hectare farms are situated at an elevation of 1,600 to 2,200 meters above sea level, and the coffee is fully washed and fermented underwater.
